On July 22, members of VCU’s Student Interest Group in Neurology (SIGN) hosted the second iteration of an event called Brains and Brews, and the American Association of Neurology (AAN) took notice and published a blurb about the gathering.

Led by neurologists Dr. Alicia Zukas, Dr. Jon Snider, Dr. Yasir Al-Khalili and Dr. Ken Ono, the interactive event involved discussions related to the theme of “neuro gadgets” paired with beer tastings. Some attendees were first-year medical students who would soon begin classes at the MCV campus, and it was a wonderful opportunity for students to network, explore their interests in neurology and enjoy locally brewed beers with their classmates.
