Director's Welcome
Welcome to the neurology clerkship! We hope that this will be a rewarding and memorable experience for all who join us. Neurological conditions are common throughout all specialties and we strive to provide you with the tools to recognize, diagnose and treat these problems, primarily through your clinical experiences in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
Our patients are the highlight of the neurology clerkship and they will be your primary guides in understanding neurological diseases and their impact on daily living. Through their stories, you will hear about their resilience and determination as we all work together to promote understanding, teamwork and healing. Along the way, you will meet our fantastic faculty and resident educators who are deeply committed to your learning.
The neurology clerkship is a 3-week rotation that is divided evenly between outpatient and inpatient experiences. For the outpatient block, you will be able to choose from a variety of clinical subspecialities depending on your particular interests. Our inpatient rotation also offers a range of choices from consult services to inpatient wards as well as an opportunity to work in the neurocritical care unit.
