VCU's Comprehensive Stroke Center invites Healthcare Professionals including, but not limited to:
Nursing, Allied Health, Social Work, Pharmacy, Physicians, and Emergency Services to submit a poster abstract for an upcoming virtual symposium. The Stroke Center requests submissions showcasing best practices, case studies, and/or quality improvement projects applicable to cerebrovascular disease management.
Submission Guidelines:
- All abstracts must be submitted electronically by visiting https://form.jotform.com/222624951939061 and uploading an abstract by March 1st, 2023.
- Only a completed submission is eligible for review; ensure that a completed abstract is evident in your submission.
- A confirmation email will automatically be sent to the email provided for the primary author once the abstract has been fully submitted.
Submission Instructions:
- List a single author as the primary author.
- The primary author is allowed a maximum of two (2) abstract submissions. If more than two abstracts are submitted per author, only the first two submissions will be reviewed and eligible for acceptance.
- The primary author must submit the abstract.
- The primary author is the corresponding author and is the point of contact for all communication with the VCU Comprehensive Stroke Center.
- Abstract submissions that are incomplete after the submission deadline will not be eligible for presentation nor will they be considered for review.
- Submissions must include Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions for Practice.
- Submissions should reflect Cerebrovascular Disease. Include summary recommendations for others who may be considering a similar approach.
- Abstracts may highlight original research, quality improvement projects, evidence-based practice, or programmatic innovations. The formatting of the abstract should be consistent with that of a poster presentation.
Acceptance Notification
- Email notification of abstract acceptance will be sent to the primary presenting author by mid-April 2023. Only the primary presenting author is required to either accept (or deny) the presentation invitation form.
- Once the primary author has accepted, the VCU Comprehensive Stroke Center will collect additional materials (e.g., brief biography, headshot, etc.), which will be distributed to all conference participants. (Detailed instructions will be provided).
