Gary Rogliano has never been one to slow down. He describes himself as “one of those guys who worked pretty much 24/7,” and he built his life around work and his family. So when a neurologist delivered the diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease, Rogliano and his family turned to the Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders Center (PMDC) at the VCU Health Neuroscience, Orthopaedic and Wellness Center for treatment.
Like other patients at the PMDC, he has access to physical, occupational, speech and sleep therapies, and his wife, Margaret, has helped him engage in physical activities such as yoga, taekwondo and boxing.
Shortly after his retirement in 2018, Rogliano and his family launched Power Over Parkinson’s (POP), a nonprofit organization aimed at providing financial assistance and resource connections to patients with Parkinson’s in the Central Virginia area.
